This qualification is for those who work or wish to work with children from birth to age five in various settings. It prepares learners for employment as Early Years Educators, equipping them to work independently with children in this age group while also providing knowledge of children aged five to seven.

What you need to know
This course typically takes 12 months to complete, depending on your pace and commitment.
The total qualification time for this course is 620 hours, of which around 220 hours are Zoom sessions, 45 hours are in-person sessions and 420 hours are the internship.

This course is TQUK -accredited and the Montessori component is TQUK-endorsed. All TQUK qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

Entry requirements
This qualification is suitable for learners of 16 years of age and above. There are no specific entry requirements. However, learners should have a minimum of level two in literacy and numeracy or equivalent. There is not a requirement for learners to have GCSE grades A*- C in English and maths prior to commencing this qualification. However, learners should be aware that this is required to attain Early Years Educator status. Depending on your educational background, a Level 2 Diploma may be required before you can undertake this qualification. This course is suitable for learners with varying levels of English language proficiency.
